ThePirateBet stack is a self-hosted sportsbook and casino platform you run on your own infrastructure. It is shipped as twelve coordinated, containerized services. Each component is packaged for repeatable deployment and day-two operations.
Current build: 0.9.283. The product has been under continuous development for about five years, with the first public release on 3 May 2023 (2023-05-03). Build identifiers and release notes travel with the artifacts you download; this section is a concise snapshot of the product story.
The codebase is written in Go and JavaScript, using modern engineering practices end to end. Building something comparable in scope, even with extensive AI-assisted coding, would still mean on the order of two to three years of focused platform and product work, given payments, realtime paths, operator workflows, and operational tooling.
All code is original to this project: nothing was copied wholesale from other products; only conventional open-source dependencies are used in the usual way. The stack is tuned to be fast, predictable, and security-conscious, aimed at a serious operator-grade deployment rather than a demo assembled from borrowed templates.
